FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: civil aircraft with an arrow wing and a slat at subsonic and transonic flight speeds. The device for increasing the lift performance of the aircraft is made in the form of a curved plate located in the inner part of the slat, with the possibility of extension along the leading edge of the slat towards the hull. The end part of the plate is of ellipse shape. In this case, the span of the plate in the extended position is at least 90% of the distance between the inner plane of the slat and the hull of the aircraft.
EFFECT: changing the flow around the wing and improvement of the lift performance of the aircraft.
