FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instruments for measuring physical properties of soils. The device contains a handle, a cylindrical spring with plates, a rod with a calibrated tip, a platform for paper with paper, and a support shoe. On the handle, there are additionally a guiding sleeve for the rod, a vertical bracket with a tape measure, a horizontal bracket with a video camera, a vertical ruler, and a limiting bar. On the rod, at an upper end, on a threaded connection, an indicating plate is fixed, in a middle part, a lower plate with the cylindrical spring is fixed, and at a lower end, above the calibrated tip, in a cone-shaped hole, the support shoe with a pivotally attached tape measure tip is fixed.
EFFECT: simplification of a process of measurement of soil hardness in a root layer of agricultural plants, at depths exceeding meter values.
