FIELD: municipal engineering.

SUBSTANCE: the invention relates to municipal engineering, namely to machines for collecting and removing garbage. A garbage truck with translational waste compaction system contains a hollow body 2 of rectangular or circular cross-section installed on a base chassis 1 with a receiving hatch 3, located in the front of the mentioned body 2 behind the cab 4, and a rear shutter 5 in the form of a cover hingedly 6 fixed in the upper part of the body 2. The garbage truck includes a hoist and tipping unit 8 for moving waste tanks, installed in the front the body 2 bottom 9, and a pushing plate 11 placed inside the body with a drive in the form of a hydraulic cylinder 12 with the possibility of moving the mentioned plate along the axis 13 of the body 2 along the guides 14. The pushing plate 11 is equipped with a rotating disk with a sealing surface, overlapping the section of the body 2, equipped with a drive in the form of a hydraulic motor. The mentioned disk is installed hydraulic motor shaft with the possibility of rotation in bearing supports, and its sealing surface is equipped with hooks that are fixed to the disk by means of a threaded joint.

EFFECT: increasing the density of waste in the body and the degree of filling of the body due to additional influences from the rotating sealing element of the structure.
