FIELD: membranes; heat-insulating tanks.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the welding of the membrane of a sealed heat-insulating tank. The reservoir contains at least two metal belts (1, 2) of the sealing membrane and a heat-insulating body containing at least one heat-insulating barrier (5) adjacent to the membrane. Each belt of the membrane has a flat area and a raised side edge. A conductive strip (30) is inserted between the metal supports (3,4), supported by a heat-insulating barrier, and seam contact welding is carried out with roller electrodes with pairwise connection of each of the two raised side edges of the membranes of two adjacent metal belts (1,2) with the corresponding of the two supports located between said adjacent raised side edges of the membranes.
EFFECT: method ensures obtaining a completely sealed and mechanically strong weld between two adjacent membrane belts.
