FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, and in particular to products made of alloys with the shape memory effect, and can be used in power engineering, construction, instrumentation and medicine. The method for thermomechanical processing of semi-finished products made of titanium nickelide TN-1 alloy includes cooling of a torsion-deformed semi-finished product made of titanium nickelide TN-1 from the austenitic state to the martensitic state and subsequent heating in the unloaded state. The semi-finished product of titanium nickelide TN-1 is twisted to a given angular deformation in the austenitic state under isothermal conditions at a temperature of T = 493 K, rigidly pinched to fix the angular deformation and cooled to the martensitic state to a temperature of T = 293 K and then heated in the free state through the interval of the reverse martensitic transition to a temperature of T = 493 K till angular deformation is restored.
EFFECT: shape memory effect is obtained when heated after cooling in the interval of direct martensitic transformation under pinched conditions with zero deformation effect.
