FIELD: cryogenic technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cryogenic technology, and more specifically to helium refrigerators with excess reverse flow. A method for producing cold at T>4.4 K by a helium refrigerator with an excess reverse flow is claimed, containing a compressor, a heat exchanger with forward and reverse flow channels, a forward flow throttle valve, a cryogenic product collector, a liquid helium supply valve and a cold consumer temperature sensor. The degree of opening/closing of the liquid helium supply valve is determined by the temperature value of the temperature sensor located on the cold consumer, and in manual or automatic mode, the following conditions are met: when this temperature is below the set value, then the liquid helium supply valve is closed; when this temperature is above the set value, then the liquid helium supply valve is slightly opened.
EFFECT: expansion of the arsenal of methods for producing cold at T>4.4 K by a helium refrigerator with an excess reverse flow, the possibility of producing a helium refrigerator with an excess reverse cold flow at any temperature level required for full-fledged testing of superconducting and other devices.
