FIELD: electrical switching devices.

SUBSTANCE: invention is designed to interrupt electrical current, such as circuit breakers or switches. The device (2) for switching electric current with separable electrical contacts includes a switching mechanism (10), containing a switching shaft (20), which is connected to a movable electrical contact (6), a release hook (40), which is mounted on a fixed support mechanism with the possibility of rotation, a connection system (22) connecting the shift shaft to the release hook. The connection system (22) includes the first pair (42) of connecting rods, which are mounted on the release hook with the possibility of rotation, and the second pair (44) of connecting rods, which are installed so as to rotate with the crank (24) of the switching shaft. The first connecting rods are connected to the second connecting rods by means of one articulation axis (68), which forms a connection with the possibility of rotation between the first connecting rods and the second connecting rods.

EFFECT: increasing the reliability of the switching mechanism by increasing the reliability of the connection system. In particular, the risk of accidental breakage of the rotary connection between the first connecting rods and the second connecting rods is reduced by using the connecting shaft.
