FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: galvanized wire with a diameter of not more than 1.00 mm for the production of bottle cap muzzle. The wire is obtained from low-carbon alloy steel containing components in the following ratio, wt.%: carbon NMT 0.010, manganese 0.20-0.30, silicon NMT 0.04, nickel NMT 0.15, titanium 0.04-0.10, copper NMT 0.15, chromium NMT 0.15, aluminum 0.02-0.07, sulfur NMT 0.025, phosphorus NMT 0.025, if necessary, REM up to 0.001, iron and unavoidable impurities the rest. The ratio between the total number of components in the steel composition that affect the increase in steel strength (C+Mn+Si+Cr+Cu) and the total number of components that affect the increase in steel ductility (Ni+Al) is from 2.5 to 3.5, where the total amount of components is expressed in wt.%. Steel has a microstructure consisting of ferrite.
EFFECT: increasing strength and plastic properties.
