SUBSTANCE: invention is an acaricidal strip for the prevention of bee disease caused by Varroa mites; the strip contains coconut oil, essential oil of fir, essential oil of peppermint, essential oil of thyme and sunflower oil in the ratio, wt.%: 9.8–10.0 of coconut oil; 4.4–4.6 of fir essential oil; 5.6–5.8 of peppermint essential oil; 4.9–5.1 of essential oil of thyme; 74.7–75.1 of sunflower oil, and a method for manufacturing an acaricidal strip for the prevention of bee disease caused by Varroa mites, including adding sunflower oil to a heat-resistant flask, which is placed in a water bath at a temperature of 50–55°C, then after the oil reaches the set temperature with constant stirring with a glass rod for 20–30 seconds, add coconut oil, preheated to a temperature of 40–45°C, and mix until a homogeneous consistency is reached, then the essential oil of fir is gradually added to the flask in fractional portions, after which the essential oils of peppermint and thyme are fractionally added with constant stirring with a glass rod until a homogeneous consistency is reached, after which the flask is removed from the water bath, and its contents are poured into a flat cuvette, and the prepared strips of soft wood are impregnated for 4–5 minutes by immersing them in the prepared composition.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to determine the optimal formula for preventing the occurrence of invasive diseases caused by mites of the genus Varroa, to ensure environmental safety for bees in the hive during and after treatment.
