FIELD: veterinary medicine.

SUBSTANCE: drugs with an insec-oacaricidal effect. The product for the prevention of bee diseases caused by mites of the genus Varroa contains lanolin, menthol, peppermint essential oil, thyme essential oil and sunflower oil in the weight % ratio: lanolin 9.8-10.0, menthol 4.4-4.6, peppermint essential oil 5.6-5.8, thyme essential oil 4.9-5.1, sunflower oil 74.7-75.1. Sunflower oil is added to a heat-resistant flask, which is placed in a water bath at a temperature of 51-53°C. Then after the oil reaches a temperature of 52°C with constant stirring with a glass rod for 20-30 s, add lanolin, preheated to a temperature of 41-42°C, and mix until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. Next, menthol is gradually added to the flask in fractional portions, after which the essential oil of peppermint and thyme is added in fractional portions with constant stirring with a glass rod until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. Then the flask is removed from the water bath, and its contents are poured into a flat cuvette and the prepared strips of soft wood are soaked for 3-4 minutes by immersing them in the prepared composition.

EFFECT: efficiency of bee processing increases and environmental safety is ensured.
