FIELD: agriculture; biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: method for restoring the lichen cover makes it possible to ensure the restoration of degraded soils until the lichen cover is completely restored. The method includes preparing a substrate and applying a substrate layer to the open soil surface. Substrate preparation is carried out by mixing the components. The substrate includes a mixture of crushed peat with a grinding size of 1 to 20 mm and crushed lichen thallus with a grinding size of 5 to 20 mm. The substrate components are mixed at the following ratio, wt.% (volume percent by dry weight): crushed peat — from 10 to 90%, crushed lichen thallus from 10 to 90%. The substrate layer is applied with a thickness of at least 2 cm. After applying the substrate layer, it is coated with a layer of non-woven self-destructive material.
EFFECT: method ensures restoration of lichen cover, which makes it possible to restore food potential for domestic reindeer on disturbed lands, degraded soils, strengthening degraded soil with prevention of further development of wind erosion.
