FIELD: wood processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for the manufacture of soluble wood fibre pulp from fibrous material of shredded hardwood. The method includes the following successive steps: processing of the crushed fibrous material in acidic environments with a P-factor reaching 5-250; pulping the shredded fibrous material treated in acid environments with an alkaline pulping solution at a temperature of 120-175°C in a sulphate pulping process to produce pulp; treating the boiled pulp with alkali at a temperature of 70-110°C for at least 5 minutes, wherein the effective alkali concentration in the pulp suspension in the liquid phase is 60-120 g/l; washing of wood fibre mass after alkaline; and oxygen treatment with the purpose of delignification of the alkaline-treated pulp after washing.

EFFECT: alkalization and pulping processes are more simply and cost-effectively combined than was previously carried out on the same line, since the composition of the alkali during the pulping process eliminates excessive precipitation of xylan in chips.
