FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method for fruit thinning of plants includes applying the composition for fruit thinning by at least one organ of the plant. The fruit thinning composition contains diuron in an amount from 0.0005 to 0.0095% by weight, calcium formate from 0.0001 to 0.3% by weight and water at least 95% by weight. Also, the fruit thinning composition can be presented in the form of a concentrate and at the same time contains diuron in an amount of from 12.0 to 18.0% by weight, calcium formate from 7.0 to 15.0% by weight, water and optionally additional ingredients, while in total water, diuron and calcium formate amount to 90-100% by weight of the composition.
EFFECT: proposed fruit thinning composition is highly effective, well tolerated by plants, does not require high concentration, and does not cause discoloration in mature fruits.
