FIELD: conductometers.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of determining the properties of substances using conductometers, the main element of which is a conductometric cell, namely, to measurements of the electrical conductivity of natural waters, process fluids and various products of the chemical and food industries. The cell contains a body (1) made of an insulating material in the form of a long cylindrical cup with an axial hole in the bottom. Five ring electrodes (2) with given identical inner and outer diameters, made of inexpensive corrosion-resistant stainless steel, are placed in the housing cavity. The two side electrodes are grounded or connected to each other, the third one is connected to the alternator, and the other two are installed in the gap between the middle electrode and one of the side ones and are connected to the measuring circuit. Four tubes (3) of predetermined dimensions made of non-conductive material with the same inner and outer diameters are installed between the electrodes, and the tube installed between the electrodes connected to the measuring circuit is made of a thermostable material. The electrodes are provided with sealing ring gaskets (4) installed on both sides of each of the electrodes. The housing cavity is closed with a plug (5) made of insulating material, in which an axial hole is made, coaxial to the housing and having a diameter equal to the inner diameter of the electrodes and tubes and the diameter of the hole in the bottom of the body, thus forming a measuring channel in the form of a tube. The plug (5) is screwed with the possibility of compressing a set of electrodes, seals and tubes. A channel (7) is made in the housing wall for the supply wires, as well as five radial holes (8), in which five contacts (9) are installed, which ensure the connection of the electrodes: to each other (or to the ground), to the alternator, to the measuring circuit. This five-electrode conductometric cell can be easily converted into an equivalent design - into a seven-electrode cell by adding two additional electrodes (10), which are connected to the measuring circuit and located in the space between the indicated third electrode and the other of the side electrodes.
EFFECT: implementation of the claimed invention is the possibility of visual control of the state of the working surface of the electrodes and the measuring channel, the possibility of carrying out maintenance and repair work by the user, high cell washability and, as a result, increased performance of analyses, high reliability of the measurement results.
