FIELD: pipeline transport systems.
SUBSTANCE: magnetic levitation pipeline transport systems. Invention relates to the design of a turnout device installed vertically, without mechanical and movable components. The switch contains an incoming section, a switch, a branch section and a direct section and works both for a connection in one line and for a branching into two lines. The inlet section, arrow and branch section in the upper part contain coils of a linear motor and coils of electromagnets arranged alternately, installed in a curvilinear manner at an angle, gradually rising upwards from the inlet section to the branch section. Linear motor coils interacting with the rolling stock rotor create linear thrust. Coils of electromagnets interacting with the same rolling stock rotor generate Coulomb attractive forces, keeping the ferromagnetic alloy rotor with the rolling stock at a distance controlled by a sensor.
EFFECT: at high speeds, it is not necessary to slow down the rolling stock in order to transfer it to another line.
