SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of 13(1)-N-(4'-N'N'-dimethylpiperazinyl iodide) amide, 15(2), 17(3)-dimethyl ester of chlorin e6, which can be used as a photosensitizer for photodynamic therapy of infectious diseases. The introduction of a monocationic trialkylammonium group into the structure of the chlorin e6 dimethyl ether molecule causes an increase in its solubility in water and makes it possible to prepare dosage forms of the drug based on aqueous solutions.

EFFECT: positively charged fragment in the molecule of this compound, as well as the high quantum yield of singlet oxygen generation, also contributes to its photoinduced antimicrobial activity, in particular, against antibiotic-resistant gram-negative pathogens.
