FIELD: measuring technology.

SUBSTANCE: method for operational control of the location of a railway rolling stock, its speed and integrity, in which information from a satellite radio navigation system is used to determine the location of a rolling stock and its speed, which, after processing it, obtaining geographic coordinates and generating appropriate messages, is transmitted to the railway safety control centre with binding of the data generated by the receiver to the coordinates of the terrain. As a source of additional information about the location of the train, a fibre-optic cable (FOC) with a reflectometer connected to it is used, laid along the railway track at a given distance from it. Then, the FOC is placed along the railroad track by means of aerial installation and/or its burying at different depths, including the possibility of direct vibration exposure through various elements that ensure the transmission of vibrations, as well as laying in the rail itself, by placing the FOC in pockets, including when it is rigidly fixed, for example, by gluing, with an acceptable tension in the places of rail joints, which excludes the rupture of the fibre optic cable, to form an additional Brillouin effect, which makes it possible to determine the place where the wheelset passes the rail joint, controlling the degree of stretching of the fibre optic cable based on a change in the frequency of the optical signal, and with the mathematical processing of signals generated by optical measuring instruments.
