SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a drum unit (1) for a clock mechanism with automatic winding, including a drum (11) with an axle (AA), containing an inner side wall (12) and a winding spring (2) made in the form of a spiral with an outer coil (21), the end (22) of which is frictionally connected to the specified inner side wall (12) with the possibility of free sliding along the inner side wall (12) in case of excessive tension of the winding spring (2). According to the invention, the end (22) of the specified outer coil (21) has an outer side (23) with two friction surfaces (24, 25) located in the upper and lower sections of the outer coil (21) and intended for contact with the inner side wall (12) so that the area between said two friction surfaces (24, 25), called the central section (26), does not come into contact with the inner side wall (12), and the specified central section (26) forms a reservoir (27) for lubricant located between the two specified friction surfaces (24, 25).
EFFECT: effective performance of a clock mechanism.
