FIELD: metalworking.
SUBSTANCE: clamping device with a self-centring mechanism comprises a platform and a base in the form of plates fastened together by supports. The platform has grooves for attaching processing equipment to the table. The base has through slots in which T-shaped sliders are installed, along with a stepped lock. Clamping jaws are located above the base, parallel to its plane. The sliders comprise horizontal threaded holes in which a double-sided stud with right and left threads is installed. When the stud is rotated, the clamping jaws move towards each other. At the base, between the slots for the sliders, a fork is fixed, which keeps the studs from axial displacement during its rotation. The thickness of the jaws of the slider and the stepped lock is equal to the thickness of the clamped part.
EFFECT: accuracy of placing and reliability of fastening of the part in the device is ensured.
