SUBSTANCE: prompt emergency shutdown of electrical equipment when exposed to high temperatures, for example, in case of fire, as well as flash arc. The proposed device, operating as a typical flash arc protection device (FAPD) for single- or three-phase connections, includes a module with an aerosol-forming or gas-forming composition placed inside (AFC module), protruding beyond the device case, a self-igniting thermal igniter located on this ledge, and disconnecting temperature-sensitive device, which is connected through conductors to the mechanism for automatic shutdown of zero and phase A in case of a single-phase version and any of the phases, in case of a three-phase version.

EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of primary fire extinguishing with an increase in the efficiency of preventing the spread of fire in a confined space, in particular, such as an electrical panel, with simultaneous opening of the electrical circuit.
