FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protective switching equipment and can be used to protect against overloads and short circuits of electrical installations and DC lines.
EFFECT: increased relay response. A high-speed direct current relay comprises a magnetic circuit equipped with an insulating element for fastening a fixed contact, an armature, a magnetic shunt with a short-circuited coil, an insulating material lever mounted on a fixed rotary axis and rigidly connected to the armature, a movable contact mounted on the lever, a spring, whereas the magnetic shunt is made asymmetrical with respect to the vertical axis of the magnetic circuit and is configured for conducting a magnetic flux between the magnetic shunt and the armature.
