SUBSTANCE: wrapping paper for smoking products and a method for its coating. The smoking article consists of a smoking material wrapped in a smoking material wrapper, a filter, the upper end of which is connected to the smoking material and which is wrapped in a filter wrapper, and wrapping paper wrapped around at least a part of the smoking material and the filter so that the smoking material and filter are merged. An overprinting solution is applied to the wrapping paper, in which at least one functional material and an overprinting auxiliary substance is added to the overprinting ink, which improves the solubility of at least one functional material. The weight ratio of the overprint ink added to the wrapping paper and the weight of the overprinting auxiliary substance added to the wrapping paper is 1:2 to 2:1 and the weight ratio of at least one functional material added to the wrapping paper and the weight of the ink for overprinting or the ratio of the weight of at least one functional material added to the wrapping paper and the weight of the auxiliary substance for overprinting is from 1:1.5 to 1:600. Method for coating wrapping paper includes preparing a solution for overprinting, in which at least one functional material and an overprinting auxiliary substance is added to the overprinting ink, which improves the solubility of at least one functional material, and coating the surface of wrapping paper with a solution for overprint. At least one functional material is a first functional material in the form of a powder and a second functional material is oil. In preparing the imprinting solution, the first functional material in the form of a powder and the second functional material in the form of an oil are successively dissolved in the imprinting solution.
EFFECT: obtaining wrapping paper with different taste, reducing foreign taste, reducing the level of harmful bacteria, eliminating bad breath and similar effects during smoking.
