FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: method for obtaining a non-immortalized strain of a monolayer culture of porcine fetal kidney cells is described. Embryonic kidney cells of porcine fetal at a late stage of development, obtained by gentle trypsinization, are grown on a mixture of nutrient media: 0.5% HLA and MEM needle 1:1 with 10% fetal calf serum (FBS). The culturing limit of fetal porcine kidney cells is 22 passages. To disperse the cell layer during passages, a mixture of 0.25% trypsin solution and 0.02% Versen solution in a ratio of 1:3 at a temperature of +37°C is used. For cryopreservation at a temperature of -196°C, 95% FBS is used with the addition of 5% DMSO, at a cell concentration of 2–3×106 in ml.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain Coxsackievirus B5 sensitive to human enteroviruses and type I herpes simplex virus.
