FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in energy-saving electrical technologies for growing plants in protected ground. For illumination of plants, radiation sources with a maximum intensity of the spectrum in the short-wavelength (left) part of the range of photosynthetic spectral sensitivity curves (SC) are used. The used level of illumination (irradiation) of plants leads to intensive absorption of higher energy quanta (photons) by plant receptors and is reduced compared to the level of illumination required for plant receptors to absorb radiation of lower energy quanta of the long-wave (red) region of the spectrum.
EFFECT: energy saving is achieved by reducing the level of illumination due to an increase in the intensity of absorption of the short-wavelength part of the optical radiation by plant receptors (cryptochrome), corresponding to the left maximum of the spectral sensitivity curve (SC).
