FIELD: wireless communication.

SUBSTANCE: base station transmits the first radio resource control (RRC) configuration information. The first RRC configuration information may indicate a Code Block Group (CBG) transmission for a Physical Downlink Data Shared Channel (PDSCH). Conveys second RRC configuration information that indicates Nmax, which is the maximum number of CBGs per transport block. Transmits on the UE a PDSCH containing a transport block with N CBGs after a channel access procedure, where N is an integer. The base station receives a HARQ-ACK feedback from the UE containing Nmax HARQ-ACK information bits for the PDSCH transport block. If N is less than Nmax, the HARQ-ACK information bit(s) for the last Nmax-N CBGs may be set to NACK. The contention window for the channel access procedure may be adjusted with the HARQ-ACK feedback, with the HARQ-ACK information bit(s) for the last Nmax-N CBG bit(s) being ignored.

EFFECT: increase in the flexibility and/or efficiency of data exchange.
