Apparatus for an electronic aerosol generation system comprises a body formed by a main unit and a cover, wherein the cover comprises a sleeve for receiving the aerosol-forming unit and a retaining apparatus for preventing accidental release of the aerosol-forming unit after insertion thereof into the sleeve, wherein the retaining apparatus is made on the sleeve of the cover and comprises a magnet.

EFFECT: secure connection of the aerosol-forming unit with the power supply unit is provided; accidental release of the aerosol-forming unit after insertion thereof into the sleeve is prevented.
