FIELD: oil industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to operation of production wells by rod pump units, and can be used to center and protect sucker rods. The centring plug for sucker rods is a cylindrical body with a coaxial through cylindrical hole. The through cylindrical hole communicates with the outer surface of the body with a groove. The body is made of an elastomeric polymer with the addition of anti-friction components. The elastomeric polymer belongs to the group of nitrile rubbers. Antifriction components are selected on the basis of organofluorine compounds and/or carbon-containing and/or boron-containing compounds. Cylindrical cavities are made at the ends of the body, coaxial with the body. C-shaped clamps are fixed in cylindrical cavities.
EFFECT: increased reliability of sucker rod pump operation, increased energy efficiency.
