SUBSTANCE: propulsion systems. The cooling system of the central body of the wedge-air jet engine nozzle includes a collector inside the central body, established in a closed circuit, while the collector is hydraulically connected to a tank with a mixture of an inert gas and an easily ionizable additive with a low work function through a controllable valve, the easily ionizable additive is in a gaseous state in tank, the collector consists of a cathode and an anode wall, the cathode wall is adjacent to the surface of the central body and is separated at a distance of 0.3 to 1 mm from the anode wall by electrically insulating elements, the anode wall is in thermal contact with a heat accumulator with a high heat capacity. Helium is used as the inert gas. Potassium is used as an easily ionizable additive.

EFFECT: reduction in the mass of the cooling agent per unit time due to thermionic cooling and a reduction in the hydraulic energy losses of the fuel.
