SUBSTANCE: dispenser comprises a housing, a lid, a lid drive element and a shifting mechanism. The lid is movable relative to the body between a first location and a second location, and the lid drive member is movable relative to the body between a first orientation and a second orientation. The lid drive element engages with the lid to move the lid from the first location to the second location. The lid drive element includes an engaging element that travels along a travel path between the first position and the second position when the lid drive element moves between the first orientation and the second orientation. The shifting mechanism engages with the engaging element and displaces the engaging element in the direction of the first position.

EFFECT: ease of use is provided by improving the design of the shifting mechanism, which shifts the cover drive element relative to the body.
