FIELD: current collectors of vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: device for removing ice from the current collector contains a pneumatic cylinder installed between the base of the current collector and its upper frame, the cavity of which is connected by means of an inlet to a pneumatic line through an air pressure regulator and an electro-pneumatic valve, and a control unit, one output of which is connected to the inlet of the electro-pneumatic valve, and the second to the pressure regulator input. The body of the pneumatic cylinder is fixed on the base of the current collector, the piston rod is brought into contact with the upper frame of the current collector, and the piston cavity is connected to the pressure regulator through the inlet. At the same time, the side wall of the cylinder body is equipped with an outlet opening connecting the rod cavity with the atmosphere, respectively, when the piston is below the outlet hole and the piston cavity when the piston is above the outlet hole. The cross-sectional area of the outlet is larger than the cross-sectional area of the inlet.
EFFECT: increasing reliability of the current collection in conditions of icing.
