FIELD: automobile air filter element.
SUBSTANCE: air filter element is equipped with a frame which is located around the filter material of the filter element, at least in some places. The invention is related to a filter element (10) for an automobile air filter, with a frame (16) which is located around the filter material (18) of the filter element (10), at least in certain areas. The frame (16) includes a front wall (20), which runs perpendicular to the direction of insertion (22) of the filter element (10) into the cavity (14) of the air filter housing (12). On the front side (24) of the front wall (20) there is at least one fastener (26), to which the cover (34) of the air filter is attached to close the cavity (14). At least one fastener (26) has at least one fixing part (44, 46), which is located on the front side (24) of the front wall (20) and with which the corresponding fixing part (56) of the cover (34) is connected so that the cavity (14) is closed with the cover (34). The fastening element (26) has two fixing parts (44, 46), made in form of wings protruding from the body (42) of the fastener (26) in the transverse direction relative to the direction of the insertion (22). Moreover, the corresponding fixing part (44, 46) has a bevel extending from the first end region (48) to the second end region (50) and facing the filter wall (20). In addition, the invention is related to an air filter with such filter element (10).
