SUBSTANCE: security system (4) for a kitchen device (1) containing a container (5) and a lid (21) containing: a processor (10); a holding bracket (7) configured to hold the lid (21) on the container (5) in a holding position; a first sensor (40) configured to send a hold signal to the processor (10) when the holding bracket (7) is in the hold position; and a second sensor (43) configured to transmit to the processor (10) a function signal indicating the function of the lid (21), wherein the processor (10) is configured to select the operating mode of the kitchen appliance (1) depending on the hold signal and the signal functions.
