FIELD: automobile industry.
SUBSTANCE: wheel rim (10) comprises a peripheral structure (12) configured to receive a tire (T) and a central structure (14) connected to a hub (H) of a vehicle. The peripheral structure (12) comprises in series, for each side of the wheel rim (10), a peripheral flange (22, 24), a connecting wall (26, 28), on which the bead ring of the tire (T) rests, and a connecting part (38, 40). In the centre of the peripheral structure (12) there is a central section (20). The connecting part (38, 40) comprises the first curved region (42, 44) connected to the central well (20) and the second curved region (46, 48) located between the first curved region (42, 44) and the connecting wall (26, 28). The second curved region (46, 48) has a convex profile when viewed from the side of the rim (10) on which the tire (T) is mounted, and comprises the first curved surface (52) connected to the connecting wall (26, 28) and the second a curved surface (54) located between the first curved surface (52) and the first curved region (42, 44).
EFFECT: increased strength of the wheel rim.
