FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for the manufacture of thick-walled glass convex portholes for deep-sea vehicles. A unit for moulding hemispherical windows for underwater vehicles is claimed, comprising a thermal chamber inside which a blowing mould is installed, a cold-water supply pipeline for cooling the mould, a heat exchanger installed in the thermal chamber connected to the blowing mould through a hot air supply pipeline, and also a cold air supply pipeline connected to a heat exchanger at one end and to an air compressor at the other end. Moreover, the blow mould consists of the lower and upper parts, where the upper part is a clamping ring, and comprises the lower and upper cooling circuits located at the edges of the lower and upper parts of the mould, respectively, connected to the cold-water supply pipeline and the waste water removal pipeline connected one end with a blow mould and the other end coming out of the heat chamber. The blow mould comprises mineral glass installed in the lower part. At the same time, hot air supply nozzles are made of mineral glass, connected to the hot air supply pipeline, and the nozzles are evenly distributed over the surface of the mould.
EFFECT: enabling the production of hemispherical products from organic glass, including those with a thickness of 60 mm or more, improving the quality of such products and making a product with a uniform hemispherical shape, as well as reducing labour intensity and eliminating manufacturing defects.
