FIELD: management of complex systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the managing complex systems at the stage of their design and can be used to select the best option for implementing the system being designed according to the criterion of expected utility. A device for designing a complex system is claimed, including serially interconnected multi-channel subsystems for the formation of primary indicators and secondary indicators, in which the input of the device is a multi-channel input of the initial data switching subsystem connected to the multi-channel subsystem of an automated project management system; the first output of the switching subsystem of the initial data is connected to the input of the subsystem for the formation of primary indicators of the first group, the second output is connected to the input of the subsystem for the formation of primary indicators of the second group; the first outputs of the subsystems for the formation of primary indicators of the first group and the second group are connected, respectively, to the first and second inputs of the subsystem for statistical simulation of stochastic coefficients, the first output of which is connected to the first input of the subsystem for determining the secondary indicators of the first group, the second output - to the first input of the subsystem for determining the secondary indicators of the second group; the outputs of the subsystems for the formation of primary indicators of the first group and the second group are connected, respectively, to the first and second inputs of the adder connected to a single-channel switch, the output of which is the output of the proposed device.
