FIELD: mould systems.

SUBSTANCE: vacuum mould shuttle system for forming a hot glass sheet is provided, comprising a mould having a downwardly facing surface that determines the shape to be initially formed into the glass sheet, a vacuum chamber, and holes that extend from the downward facing surface to the vacuum chamber. The mould support frame contains at least one connecting surface for mounting the mould thereon, and the mould channel functionally connected at the first location with the vacuum chamber and having an opening at the second location forming the first docking port. The shuttle frame comprises a pair of generally parallel elongated beams, each of the beams having a support surface near one end of the beam to receive and support the mould support frame thereon. The vacuum source is installed on the shuttle frame near the end of one of the beams, opposite the end having the specified support surface. The frame shuttle channel is functionally connected at the first location to the vacuum source and has an opening at the second location defining the second docking port. The shuttle frame also contains a connector for detachable connection of the first docking port with the second docking port to ensure the transfer of vacuum from the vacuum source through the shuttle channel and through the mould channel to the vacuum chamber for selective application of vacuum on the downwardly facing mould surface. Also proposed are a three-stage forming station for forming a hot sheet of glass with complex curvature, containing the specified shuttle vacuum mould system, and a three-stage forming station for forming a hot sheet of glass with transverse curvature.

EFFECT: prevention of distortion of the optical properties of sheet glass with complex curvature by preventing its warping.
