FIELD: catalysis; petrochemistry.

SUBSTANCE: catalyst for the selective hydrogenation of diene hydrocarbons in the isopentane-isoamylene fraction is described, containing palladium, silver and a carrier; as a carrier it contains a mixture of titanium oxide and aluminum oxide, in the following ratio, wt.%: palladium - 0.01-0.05 , silver - 0.1-1.0, carrier containing, wt.%: titanium oxide - 0.01-0.12, aluminum oxide - the rest. A method for producing the described catalyst is described, characterized in that the carrier is prepared by mixing pseudoboehmite and titanium oxide, the resulting mass is peptized with a 65 wt.% solution of nitric acid with the addition of triethylene glycol, mixed to a homogeneous paste, molded into granules, the resulting granules are dried at room temperature for 15-20 hours, dried at a temperature of 60, 80, 120°C and exposure at each temperature for 2, 2 and 4 hours, respectively, and calcined at the following temperature regime: heating rate 55°C/h, exposure at a temperature of 550°C for 4 hours, then silver and palladium are applied to the resulting carrier from a joint impregnation solution containing palladium acetate, silver nitrate or silver acetate, acetonitrile - the rest, providing their mass ratio from 10 to 100, after the impregnation is completed, the catalyst is dried, the dried catalyst is calcined in a stream of air.

EFFECT: increased activity and selectivity of the catalyst in the reactions of hydrogenation of diene hydrocarbons in the isopentane-isoamylene fraction, at palladium concentrations of less than 0.05 wt.%, distributed in the edge layer of the carrier with a thickness of less than 0.1 mm, as well as in simplifying the method of obtaining a catalyst.
