FIELD: hydrogenation- dehydrogenation catalysts. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparation of palladium catalysts and can be used for catalytic processes such as hydrogenation of organics and purification of olefins and their fractions from acetylenics, fine cleaning of hydrogen from oxygen, as well as for processes of extensive oxidation of hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide. Present invention aims at simplifying technology of gas-treatment catalyst preparation while enhancing catalytic properties and strength of catalyst. Aim is achieved by alumino- palladium catalyst preparation method involving impregnation of heat-resistant carrier with palladium compound, in particular aqueous solution of palladium acetate in sodium acetate (2:1 acetates' ratio) followed by drying and heat treatment. Concentration of palladium in catalyst ranges from 0.01 to 0.5%. Palladium is efficiently distributed over the carrier granule and is characterized by particle size Active component is deposited onto carrier by pulverization through nozzle. When preparing catalyst for extensive oxidation of hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide, impregnated alumina carrier is dried at 100-110 C for 2 h and calcined in air flow at 350+/-50 C for 5 h. When preparing hydrocarbon-hydrogenation catalyst, impregnated alumina carrier is dried and treated with 3: 1 nitrogen-hydrogen mixture at 250+/-50 C for 10 h.
