FIELD: fishing industry.

SUBSTANCE: fishing accessories, in particular automatic hooks with external fish catching. The automatic hook includes a fish-catching hook made in the form of a double-arm lever containing a drive arm, and a bait holder also made in the form of a double-arm lever containing a drive arm. The fish-catching hook and the bait holder are pivotally connected to each other by the middle parts. At the end of the drive arm of the catching hook, there is a drive torsion spring. The free end of the torsion spring is provided with a hook that engages with the drive arm of the bait holder, provided with a stop at its end, and bent to the position of an equilibrium stop by it into the rear part of the catching hook. In the second option, the shank of the fish-catching hook has a cantilever protrusion located with a gap under the plane of the bait holder.

EFFECT: simplifying the design and reducing the dimensions of the hook, as well as simplifying its operation.
