DRIVE HANDLE FOR A LIPOSUCTION DEVICE AND A MEDICAL DEVICE CONTAINING IT Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61M1/00

Abstract RU 2801272 C1

FIELD: medical devices.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a liposuction device for extracting adipose tissue from a patient's body, in particular it relates to a drive handle for such liposuction devices. A drive handle for giving the cannula of the medical device for adipose tissue liposuction a reciprocating motion with an amplitude (ΔX) along the longitudinal axis (X) contains a body (1), at least partially enclosing a hollow tube (2), a ring (3) and a cam (4). The hollow tube (2) runs along the longitudinal axis (X) between the inlet end (2i) and the outlet end (2o), is movable back and forth along the longitudinal axis (X) for a distance (ΔX) relative to the body (1), wherein the inlet end (2i) is configured to coaxially connect the hollow tube (2) with the hollow cannula (10). The ring (3) is rigidly connected to the hollow tube (2) and contains a hole (3o) formed on the plane (X, Y), having a length L measured along the first transverse axis (Y) and a width W measured along the longitudinal axis (X), where Y ⊥ X. The cam (4) is mounted on an axis (4r) of rotation parallel to the second transverse axis (Z) located at right angles to the plane (X, Y) (i.e. X⊥ Y⊥ Z), displaced from the center of gravity (C) of the cam on the plane (X, Y) by a distance (δR), and installed in a fixed position relative to the body (1). The cam is engaged in the hole (3o). When rotating around the axis of rotation, the cam is made with the possibility of rotation inside the ring and the formation of the largest radius of rotation (ρ) defined on the plane (X, Y), and the largest radius of rotation (ρ) does not exceed half the length L of the hole and more than the hole width W. The rotation of the cam (4), which is engaged in the hole (3o) of the ring (3), causes the hollow tube (2) to reciprocate back and forth along the longitudinal axis (X) by a distance (ΔX) relative to the body (1). A set of parts for liposuction of adipose tissue contains the handle described above, a hollow cannula (10), a motor (50), a vacuum pump (30) and a collection vessel (40). The hollow cannula (10) contains a lumen and a connecting end configured to be connected with the inlet end (2i) of the hollow tube (2) and a free end. The motor (50) is mechanically connected with the cam (4) to ensure the rotation of the cam (4) around the axis (4r) of rotation. The vacuum pump (30) is configured to be connected through a flexible tube (20t) in fluid communication with the outlet end (2o) of the hollow tube (2), preferably through the distal end (20d) of the outlet tube (20), and create a vacuum in the lumen cannula (10), sufficient to extract adipose tissue from the body area. The collection vessel (40) is configured to collect the adipose tissue removed by the cannula (10) and seal it to the vacuum pump (30) and has an opening for accommodating the downstream end of the flexible tube (20t). The medical device for removing adipose tissue from the body contains the above-described drive handle, a hollow cannula (10) and a motor (50). The hollow cannula (10) passes between the connected end and the free end, and the connected end is attached to the inlet end (2i) of the hollow tube (2), so that the hollow cannula runs along the longitudinal axis (X), with the free end located outside the drive handle. The motor (50) is configured to rotate the cam (4) around the rotation axis (4r) and thus allow both the hollow tube (2) and the hollow cannula (10) to move back and forth along the longitudinal axis (X).

EFFECT: drive handle is very light and so cheap that it can be disposable without requiring a complex and costly sterilization operation between the uses.
