SUBSTANCE: protective pad on the bucket edge is made in the form of a housing, including a tip, a base and stiffeners connected to it along the radius Rp, while the end parts of the base and stiffeners on at least one side are tapered towards the rear of the housing. The tip on at least two sides of the body is tapered towards the leading edge, and the side sections of the tip are bevelled towards at least two sides of the body. The body of the protective pad contains a top, including a middle and an upper part, the latter containing a central and side sections. The central section of the upper part in the rear part of the housing is made higher than its side sections and narrower than the middle part of the housing, while the height of the central section is at least one and a half times greater than the height of the side section. The length of the side sections of the upper part is at least 1/3 of the length of the central section of the upper part. The edges of the side section are made in the form of a curve bending along the radius Rb, smoothly connecting with the central section of the upper part, which passes into the side sections of the upper part along the radius Rv, and into the middle part of the body along the radius Rs.

EFFECT: increased reliability of the protective pad on the bucket edge when the abrasive mass flow passing along the surfaces of the pad is discharged.
