SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an armrest for a vehicle seat, which is provided with a strap located across the body of the armrest, used as a handle for moving the armrest from a retracted position to an extended position and/or vice versa. The armrest includes an armrest body and is equipped with a belt passing over the surface of the armrest body. In this case, each opposite end of the belt is attached to the corresponding elastic element at the first end of the elastic element. The second end of each elastic element is attached to the armrest body or to a corresponding support located inside the armrest body. Moreover, each elastic element is included in the body of the armrest.
EFFECT: absence of wear and deformation of the armrest belt is achieved.
