SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing betulin from birch bark, which is used in medicine, pharmacology and cosmetology. The method consists in obtaining betulin in a closed extraction technological system, including birch bark milling, extraction with toluene in a flow type extractor at the boiling point of toluene with extraction of the extract into an evaporator cube, regeneration of toluene from the extractor and evaporator cube into a recuperative heat exchanger, its condensation and return of condensate into recycling, drying and selection of crystalline betulin, and grinding is carried out to a size of 1-3 mm, extraction by toluene is carried out at a mass ratio of toluene-bark equal to 8:1, in three stages: at the first stage, impregnation is carried out for 15-20 minutes, at the second stage, the extraction is carried out with a uniform supply of fresh extract for 60-80 minutes; at the third stage, the regeneration of toluene from the extract in the evaporator cube is carried out by evaporation of toluene in boiling water, the regeneration of toluene from the extractor into the regenerative heat exchanger is carried out by desorption of extracted birch bark with acute water vapor, the vapor condensate is separated from the water in the florentine, the separated water is returned to the evaporator cube, the regeneration of toluene is stopped whereas the temperature in the vapor zone of the evaporator cube is 100°C for 3-5 minutes, the crystalline betulin is selected from the evaporator cube before drying after washing it with distilled water.

EFFECT: invention provides obtaining betulin with a purity of up to 99% and a yield of 47% by weight of dry birch bark with minimal capital costs.
