SUBSTANCE: method for detecting a defective area of a working unit of an agricultural harvester, comprising a working unit with rotating components having an individual speed, in which a foreign body sensor is built in, in which the measurement signal provided by the foreign body sensor is evaluated by means of signal analysis in such a way that, based on the signal analysis, at least one rotating component of the working unit comprising a defective area, leading to the appearance of a signal component in the measurement signal causing an erroneous detection of the presence of a foreign body. The control device of an agricultural harvesting machine comprising a working unit with rotating components having an individual speed, in which a foreign body sensor is integrated. The control device is configured to evaluate the measurement signal provided by the foreign body sensor by means of signal analysis, so that, based on the signal analysis, at least one rotating component of the working unit comprising a defective area is determine, which leads to the appearance of a signal component in the measurement signal that causes erroneous detection the presence of a foreign body. The control system of the agricultural harvester comprises a control device and a foreign body sensor built into the working unit of the agricultural harvester configured to send a measurement signal to the control device. The agricultural harvester comprises a working unit and a control system of the agricultural harvester.

EFFECT: simplification of interference detection leading to the appearance of signal components in the measurement signal, causing erroneous detection of the presence of a foreign body.
