FIELD: testing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to devices for testing products for impact of a falling load, in particular for testing the contact action of products. The device ensures a free fall of the load on the tested product with the possibility of choosing the height of the fall and return of the load to its original position due to the fact that the movement of the load, made of ferromagnetic material, in particular a steel ball, to a predetermined height, load drop and its return to its original position occur under the influence of gravitational and magnetic fields. In this case, the device is comprised of a device fixed on one base for fixing the tested product, a guide tube, inside which the load moves, a permanent magnet installed in a threaded sleeve with a lock nut, located at the upper end of the guide tube to hold the load in its original position, racks with electromagnets installed vertically in a row that ensure fixation of the load at a given height and its subsequent free fall onto the tested product, an electromagnetic mass accelerator located at the base of the guide tube, returning the load to its original position, a unit for reducing the kinetic energy of the load to capture it by the field of a permanent magnet upon return it to its original position, a control panel with controls and indications, which enables setting the test mode, serial switching of electromagnets, switching on the electromagnetic mass accelerator.
EFFECT: possibility of testing products for impact when a load is dropped, simplifying control of operation of the device.
