FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates the design of synchronous reluctance motors and generators of the end (axial) type. A two-phase synchronous valve-reluctance electric machine comprises a rotor and a stator, consisting of two bearing shields. Bars of ferromagnetic material are installed in the grooves of the rotor disk made of non-magnetic material, which are the poles of the rotor. Each stator bearing shield comprises U-shaped ferromagnetic cores and one concentric coil common to all U-shaped cores of one shield, which is one of the phases. The number of U-shaped stator cores is equal to the number of slots in the rotor disk. The U-shaped cores of one shield are shifted relative to the U-shaped cores of another shield by 180 electrical degrees. The geometric shift between the U-shaped cores of one shield and another shield depends on the number of rotor slots (p) and is equal to α = 360/(2p).
