FIELD: hydroacoustics.
SUBSTANCE: vector-scalar receivers and their use for hydroacoustic research, including the detection of sources of underwater noise in the seas and oceans. A vector-scalar multicomponent receiver is claimed, which is made in the form of a cylindrical ring, consisting of a set of pairs of piezoelectric prisms with opposite polarization, symmetrically spaced apart from each other and sequentially located on the sides of the cylindrical ring in variable segments with an opening from 0° up to 180° , provided with electrical contacts, forming pressure gradient receivers, and additionally containing an electrical contact for the pressure receiver. At the same time, each pair of piezoelectric prisms with opposite polarization has, in compliance with a single phase center on the other side of the cylindrical ring, a symmetrically located and connected in series pair of piezoelectric prisms, symmetrically spaced against each other, sequentially located in a variable segment with an aperture of 180° up to 360° with opposite polarization.
EFFECT: construction of the directivity characteristic of a vector-scalar receiver with a narrow beam opening with the possibility of rotation of the directivity characteristic.
