FIELD: optical radiation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas-discharge (GD) sources of optical radiation, in particular to the design of multi-electrode high-intensity flash lamps of ultra-high pressure with a short arc, intended for use as a radiating element in light-signal devices, stroboscopes, installations for ultraviolet disinfection of air and surfaces, searchlights for infrared illumination, spectral - analytical instruments. A short-arc pulsed GD lamp contains an optically transparent flask filled with a working gas with one or two electrode assemblies, each of which includes a vacuum-tight ceramic base. The ceramic base is provided with one or more bar current leads, in which the electrodes are placed. The ceramic base is surrounded by a connecting ring, which is connected to another ring sealed at the end of the flask. Rings and current leads are made of the same or different metals or alloys with a coefficient of linear thermal expansion at room temperature from 4⋅10-6 to 9⋅10-6°С-1.
EFFECT: increased service life and reliability of the short-arc lamp GD design.
