METHOD OF PERFORMING RADIOGRAPHY IN DIAGNOSING IMPINGEMENT SYNDROME IN CHILDREN WITH ADDUCTOR-INTRAROTATIONAL CONTRACTURE OF THE SHOULDER JOINT DUE TO INTRANATAL INJURY OF THE BRACHIAL PLEXUS Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B6/00

Abstract RU 2803059 C1

FIELD: medicine; orthopedics.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used when performing radiography in the diagnosis of impingement syndrome in children with adductor-intrarotational contracture of the shoulder joint due to intranatal injury of the brachial plexus by the following method: active abduction of the arm is performed (1) in the shoulder joint (2) until the shoulder joint (2) is blocked, then the position of the lower angle of the scapula (3) is determined by palpation, when the lower angle of the scapula reaches the maximum lateral position (4) with the amplitude of abduction in the shoulder joint (5) less than 90 degrees, radiography is performed shoulder joint in a plane parallel to the plane of abduction of the shoulder joint; in this case, the cassette with x-ray film (6a) is installed parallel to the plane of abduction of the shoulder, and the x-ray beam (6b) is directed perpendicular to the cassette with x-ray film.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to identify an additional reason for limitation of abduction in the shoulder joint (disturbance of the humeroscapular rhythm), does not require special equipment for analyzing the movements of the upper limbs, and will contribute to the choice of the optimal tactics for surgical treatment of children with adductor-intrarotational contracture of the shoulder joint due to intranatal injury of the brachial plexus.
