FIELD: processing of polymer waste.

SUBSTANCE: method for processing a harness comprising cellulose acetate, which served as a raw material for making a filter, includes supplying a material to be processed to a granulating press and granulating it. The material to be recycled includes spinning mill waste generated during the production of filter harness. Granulation takes place by means of a pressure roller and a stamp made of a heat-conducting material. The resulting granules have a higher density than the cellulose acetate-containing material that is supplied initially. During granulation, intermittent cooling of the material to be granulated is carried out by means of a stamp to a temperature below the glass transition temperature of cellulose acetate. The die is cooled by liquid cooling and/or by cooling of a solid object. A method is also proposed for processing the starting material of the filter and the granulate.

EFFECT: group of inventions makes it possible to increase the density of the granulate obtained during the processing of material comprising cellulose acetate.
